Respirator Training: Train The Trainer

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requires yearly training for collision repair technicians that wear tight-fitting respirators. To properly protect your technicians, this applies to any technician that is cutting, grinding, sanding, or refinishing. OSHA requires that the training be “administered by a suitably training program administrator.” This course is designed to provide you, as the employer, with the knowledge and tools required to develop a written respirator program for your technicians. This course covers:

  • Developing a Respirator Program
  • Respirator Types, Uses, and Care
  • Safety Data Sheets
  • Medical Evaluations
  • Respirator Fit-Testing

Upon completion of this course, you’ll be poised to develop a written respirator program that meets the OSHA requirement, while protecting your most valuable asset; your employees.

The training will be available to you for 30 days from the time of purchase.  After checkout, you will receive an email from invitation from our Learning Management System.

Collision Hub & Salud Systems Medical Evaluation – respiratorhub.com

Before technicians can be fit-tested for respirator use, they must first pass a medical evaluation, clearing them for respirator use. Collision Hub has partnered with Salud Systems to offer an online medical screening system. This service offers a cost-effective alternative to visiting a physician. Details of the medical evaluation are confidential and employers will only have access to results indicating that a technician has passed the evaluation and is medically cleared to wear a respirator, or that they didn’t successful pass and will require further evaluation from an occupational physician. To purchase, register your technicians, and complete the medical screening process, visit respiratorhub.com.
